Success Stories

Liam Dumont Walker – progressed from competing in the Junior/Amateur 1.20m classes to achieving steady success and numerous championships in the High Junior/Amateur division riding Lilius. Having moved up to the FEI level with Balloon JX, Liam now competes regularly in the Jump Canada Talent Squad and Grand Prix classes. Liam qualified for and competed in the 2014 Canadian Show Jumping Championships at the Royal Winter Fair, finishing an impressive 15th place in his debut appearance.

Sydney Vince – won numerous championships on her horse Noce, throughout Florida, Quebec & Ontario before retiring him in 2011. More recently, Sydney has achieved success on two young horses she has developed in the Jr/Am 1.30m and 1.40m divisions – Oregon 30 and Echodancer van de Heffinck. 

Muffie Guthrie – has won numerous Amateur Owner Hunter Championships with multiple mounts. In 2010, she wrapped up her year with a reserve Championship title at the Royal Winter Fair in Toronto and won the prestigious Amateur Owner Hunter Stake class. In 2013, Muuffie successfully competed in both the Second Year Open Working Hunters and the Amateur Owner Hunters at the Royal Winter Fair. She finished an impressive 2nd place in the 2013 $25,000 Knightwood Hunter Derby Final and repeated her result in that same class in 2014.

Ashlee Steffens – qualified for the Jump Canada Medal Final her first year competing in the classes. She became one of the youngest winners ever, attaining the 2012 National Title at the age of 15.

Jacqueline Steffens – was Ontario Zone Champion Jr/Am 1.40m in multiple years. In 2010 she won the opening class at the Royal Winter Fair in that division. In 2011, Jacqueline again repeated her Zone Championship achievements in addition to a reserve Championship at the Royal Winter Fair, qualifying and competing in the National Talent Squad Finals and representing the Ontario Junior Team at the North American Young Riders Championships.  

Elizabeth Bates – qualified for and competed at the Royal Winter Fair in the high Junior/Amateur division in 2010. The following year she competed at WEF, winning numerous Classics and Championships on her mount Gianina 9. With Marvelous 6 she represented Ontario in the Senior Division at the 2010 North American Young Riders Championships in Lexington, Kentucky. In 2011 she made her FEI debut, competing in World Cup classes, placing 2nd in the World Cup Qualifier in Blainville, Quebec. She capped off her year by qualifying for and competing in the Canadian Championships at the Royal Winter Fair.
