Deandra (Dee) Clohosey

Diandra is a graduate of Queen’s University with a Bachelor in Life Sciences and Psychology and a Masters in Human Anatomy and Education. After completing her degrees, Diandra travelled the world and volunteered in Africa and Asia for a year. She then moved to Australia and worked on a dairy farm where she was inspired to become a veterinarian. She is currently working towards this goal by gaining experience with large animals, studying part-time, and continuing to publish research papers from her thesis.

Diandra loves to ask questions and learn about horses, and is passionate about providing the best care possible to animals of all shapes and sizes. When she isn’t working or studying, she is likely outdoors on a hike, or relaxing at home with her foster animals!

Rachel McNeill

Rachel has been working with horses for over 16 years. She started out riding and working for an AA hunter jumper barn in the US. In university, she competed on the IHSA circuit. Since then, she has spent time gaining experience in different parts of the equine industry.
She has spent time doing foal watch for OVC and a standardbred broodmare facility, volunteering to help run various events like Landrover Kentucky 3 Day Event and the Pan Am games, helping run equine assisted learning programs, and working in a tack store. In her free time, Rachel enjoys taking various equine classes and spending time with her horse. She is looking forward to gaining more experience in the hunter jumper world and continuing to learn.

Valerie Tosh

Valerie is a student at Garth Webb Secondary school. She has been accepted into the competitive ECO studies program in association with the Royal Botanical Gardens. She has been riding since 2017 and was nominated volunteer of the year in 2018 for her assistance with new riders, barn orientation, the pink ribbon campaign and general barn help. Valerie discovered that while she loves riding she prefers the “backstage” of the show ring. While not at school or with horses Valerie enjoys curling and being with her friends. Valerie joined the Linden Ridge team January 2021 to learn and grow her horsemanship skills while doing something she loves.
